Beauty is no real secret. Everyone has their own beauty, it's just some of us do not know how to make that beauty shine. The secret is to start with a clean canvas, you must clean your skin properly twice a day. You can start by throwing away that bar of soap you use to clean your body with. It will dry your skin.

Now that you have thrown away the soap, what do you use to clean your skin with? That's simple, there are literally hundreds of products on the market from which to choose. You do not have to go out and spend a fortune on skin products unless you want to. You can purchase something as simple as Noxzema. You've all seen that little blue bottle at the drug store and probably your mothers used it when they were young. Before they became affluent enough to purchase the latest expensive craze.

You also need a good toner or astringent to use on your face after you clean it. But if you can only afford one or the other by all means buy the cleaner. You can use cold water to tone your face. Basically all you need to do is close the pores on your face before you apply your make-up.

There is one other thing you need to do before you apply your make-up. It does not matter how old you are you must get into the habit of moisturizing your face, neck and the rest of your body on a daily basis. Your moisturizer does not have to be a heavy thick oil, but it needs to match your skin type. Skin types are oily, dry, normal and for some there is a combination of oily and dry. Read the bottles carefully and decide what is best for you.

You must clean your skin every morning before you start your day. This cleanses your face of dead skin and lets your face shine through. You must also clean your skin every night. It is necessary to remove make-up and pollution from you skin every night or in time your skin will rebel and pimples will appear. But more importantly your skin will become dull and lack the luster we all dream of.
