The century has changed and the things that are available to you today are so different than they were when I was young. They have this new fangled thing called the Internet. Make It your friend and learn how to use it to promote yourself.

You can find anything you need on the internet, c1othes, books, motorboats and even modeling assignments. And the people who hire models have computers too and they are finding models on the net. Why shouldn’t you put yourse1f out there as well.

There are companies who list models along with a picture of them on there sites. They give all pertinent information like height, weight, sizes and travel expectations. All you have to do is contact these people and submit pictures and you can GET STARTED IN MODELING. You have to remember that these are just places to let the world know you are out there, they do not function as an agent.

To post with these companies you need a good photograph of yourself that you can send to the company. It should be a head shot of you by yourself with your statistics on the back. The statistics are your name, age, height, weight, dress size, shoe size, bra size, if you are a girl, jacket size if you are a boy and most important the area, city and state you are located in and if you are willing to travel and how far.

When you post with a net company you never post your home address or phone number. This is not a perfect world and there are some very bad people out there. Use your email address as a way to be contacted. If you are under eighteen years of age, you must have your parent’s permission. You need parental support if you are going to model.

You can have your own site built to display pictures of yourself. If you choose to go this route remember to use someone who knows what they are doing. You will have to link with a company on the internet and they will require that the link go both ways. So if someone gets to your site in some other way than the host company, they can find a link on your site directing them to the host company. Its a kind of I’ll scratch your back, if you scratch mine. If you choose to set your own site remember to use someone who knows the ins and outs of the business and will make your site professional, it is after all promoting you.

Let the internet do some of the work for you. If you’re into modeling, particularly if you are just getting started, the internet can offer you the world. Your picture can he seen by people around the world and that is something you can not physically do without the internet. So use the tools at hand and make things a little easier and potentially more profitable for yourself. Let the internet do some of the work for you.
